In late May, Impala cruised to the seldom visited south coast of Crete, completing a circumnavigation of Crete that had been begun the year before. Sailing around Nantucket, a history, geography and pilot for the waters of Nantucket Island, written by Alfie sanford was published this month by Mill Hill Press of Nantucket. Surrounding and within Nantucket Island are ocean waters, sounds, bays, harbors, estuaries, creeks and marshes--navigable water of almost every form. Sanford uses stories from his 7 decades of sailing the Island waters to illustrate the features of this magnificent body of water. Sailing around Nantucket is the first time these waters have been described in print, It is high time.
