The interior accomodation of MAGIC 30 is built in paneled butternut. It is both beautiful and cozy.
The plan is innovative. Being a live aboard cruising boat for a couple, MAGIC 30 needs a double bunk that is private, accessible and that does not disrupt the rest of the boat either when in, or out of, use. Unusually, MAGIC 30 has such a bunk, in its own cabin, aft of the companionway. The cabin also contains a side table, reading chair, desk and hanging locker. It is a proper owner’s cabin such as is rarely seen in a boat less than 55 ft long.
Forward of the owners cabin is the companionway with wet locker and chart table to starboard and head to port. The chart table, which doubles as a workbench with tools underneath is out of the weather but close to the deck.
Then comes the main saloon with pilot berths outboard, settees inboard, and a cabin table that seats four in between. The galley is at the forward end of the saloon, out of the weather and the hustle and bustle of operating the ship.
Forward of the galley is the fo’c’stle, with a single bunk set parallel to the centerline and thus useable at sea, a hanging locker and cupboards for food and linens. The fo’c’stle is ventilated and accessed by a lare scuttle under which there is full standing headroom, making a pleasant and private single cabin.
All in all, a warm cozy interior with three separate cabins, beautifully built and decorated with the structure of the ship itself.
